Feature request template
A short form that gets you the problem behind the request, a status workflow, a reply you can reuse, and a CSV tracker. Copy what you need.
1. The request form
Feature request Title: (one line — what should the product do?) Problem: (what are you trying to do, and what gets in the way today?) Who is affected: (you, your team, your customers — roughly how many?) How often: (daily / weekly / occasionally) Current workaround: (what do you do instead?) Screenshot or example: (optional) Contact: (optional — only if we may follow up)
Ask for the problem, not the solution — “export to CSV” often means “I need this in my monthly report”, which may have a better answer.
2. A status workflow
Open
New and not yet reviewed. Let people vote.
Planned
You intend to build it. Say so publicly — it stops repeat requests.
In Progress
Being built now.
Done
Shipped. Tell everyone who asked.
Closed
Won't do, or duplicate. Explain why in a comment.
3. A reply you can reuse
Thanks for the request! We've added it to our board, where others can vote on it:

We review the top-voted requests every month. You'll get an email when its status changes — Planned, In Progress or Done.4. A CSV tracker
Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. When the spreadsheet stops scaling, import the same file into a Telloo board — the columns already match.

Outgrown the spreadsheet?
A free Telloo board takes the same columns, lets customers vote without an account, and emails them when a status changes.
